Steemit Bible School

Have you ever thought about going to bible college but couldn't afford it? Well, there's a lot of stuff out there available for free if you look for it.

I spend a bunch of time studying this stuff and I thought I'd share some of what I've found. If you're interested in learning more about the Bible and the ancient biblical world then this is right up your alley.

I'm going to start with some background and context. I think it's important to try to put yourself into an ancient mindset in order to more fully appreciate all the things going on in the text of the bible.

Dr. John Stevenson has put up some excellent video lectures on Youtube, and I'm enjoying them greatly. Here's the first lecture in his series: "Ancient History: A Framework for the Bible"

This is a new idea for me, so I haven't really decided on how often to post these lectures. I'll probably shoot for twice a day, but I'd love to hear feedback.
