BIBLE STORIES # 39 - Jesus is Transfigured

The disciples often asked Jesus what would be in heaven, in God's Kingdom, And one day He took Peter, James and John with them and went up with them to the mountain. And there Jesus suddenly changed: His clothes sparkled like snow, and his face beamed like the sun! Nearby appeared the ancient prophets Moses and Elijah and began to talk with Him, and then from heaven spoke a voice:

"This is My beloved Son, obey Him!"

The disciples fell to the ground in horror, and when they raised their heads again, they saw no one but Jesus in His usual earthly appearance.
