Daily Bible Reading: All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death, 1 John 5:17

Sin deprives us of true life, eternal life, this is what the Evangelist John explains in his first letter: "If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life.", 1 John 5:16.
The evangelist continues and explains to us that not all sins are the same, there are sins that simply offend others but there are others that permanently separate us from the life of God: "I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death, 1 John 5:16-17.

Not all sins are the same because sin is actually a form of error. Sin is a way of missing the mark, of not being precise and accurate. The apostle James explains about the sin: "If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them", James 4:17.
There is a sin that is the product of oppression, of ignorance, this type of sin does not cut the link with God: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge", Hosea 4:6. Jesus about oppression explains: "Woe to you experts in the Law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering", Luke 11:52.
But there is another sin that is committed knowing clearly the difference between good and evil, and that is done from the heart, and among these, those committed out of hatred are particularly serious. The latter are the ones that definitively break the bond with our brothers and God, they are the mortal sins. According to the bible there is a difference between the bad and the worst.
