Bible quote: For the LORD detests the perverse but takes the upright into his confidence. Proverbs 3:32

All the sapiential books, and especially the Book of Proverbs, begin by teaching a spiritual principle, righteousness and sin are presented as paths for man. Because good and evil are fundamentally mentalities, ways of thinking and perceiving reality. The good is an edifying, progressive, and benevolent mentality, while evil is a chaotic, unjust, and destructive mentality.
And the sacred scriptures explain to the man that in this situation God is the source of all the perfections of the universe, and that for this reason God is the wisest being, to speak of wisdom is to speak of God. The Lord in his wisdom does not agree with human imperfections such as passion or error. That's why the Bible teaches a beautiful spiritual quote: "For the LORD detests the perverse but takes the upright into his confidence" Proverbs 3:32.
This teaching bears a strong resemblance to Psalm 1, the Psalm of Two Ways, and there are many stories in the Bible that show the importance of this phrase. Because also as the teacher of wisdom Ben Sira taught: "Every living thing loves its own kind, and we all love someone like ourselves. Every living being keeps close to its own kind; and people associate with their own kind" Ben Sira 13:15-16.
The Bible says that Saul was a brave warrior and the first king of Israel, but it happened that Saul feared men more than God, and for this sin God rejected Saul, and ordered David to be anointed as King of Israel. David was a righteous person and was blessed by God but Saul was unfortunate because of his sins.
And then the Book of Proverbs ends with the teaching, and explains that righteousness and wisdom are blessing, glory, but sin and foolishness are humiliation, failure, and misfortune:
"He mocks proud mockers
but shows favor to the humble and oppressed.
The wise inherit honor,
but fools get only shame" Proverbs 3:34-35.
