TASKMANAGER is an asset hosted on the bitshares blockchain, a % of the liquid STEEM from all @taskmanager posts is placed in savings, to be used to buyback TASKMANAGER for OPEN.STEEM on a regular basis. Holders of 50(1) or more TASKMANAGER qualify for the @taskmanager autovote. Sales from TASKMANAGER (2) will be used to power up the account. All future Task Manager projects will owe a portion of profit to this asset.
(1) - The amount of TASKMANAGER required to qualify for autovote may change over time
(2) - Some of the funds from sales may be used for promotional costs, fees, hardware, software and other possible investments.
I just signed in to OpenLedger but still have no idea what it does or how to use any of the assets. So, it's sitting there. Does it collect interest by sitting there?
I don't know enough about this stuff and I don't want to lose anything by screwing up.
First of all, go to Settings -> Backup, 'Create Backup Now' and store the backup file in some secure place (outside of you computer).
In general, assets in BitShares network don't collect interest but it depends on who created the asset. I suggest you to watch all vides by @chronos with BitShares in title https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwFnHtczGkpm4k1cQU5vj1w
This is VERY good advise... You should have already created the backup the other day but having a regular backup is a good idea, then move onto the videos.

Happy to see the market depth increasing on the BUY side. This brings about liquidity to the TASKMANAGER UIA holders and traders.
Over 65,000 BTS currently on the buy side. It is wonderful to see more liquidity, market makers should pay attention between TASKMANAGER/BTS and TASKMANAGER/OPEN.STEEM for opportunities.
