BLOCKCHAIN NEWS FEEDS

Last month I wrote a Blog titled: "In the future ALL LIVE Mainstream News Feeds streaming LIVE will be on a BLOCKCHAIN..!!"

For the ones that missed it here it is again.

The title of this Blog is: "In the Future MAINSTREAM NEWS not delivered on the BLOCKCHAIN will be considered FAKE NEWS..!!"

I am sure that there will be quite a few out there that would read this and think that this is just totally crazy to even suggest, but trust me, this will happen.

In the future Live Broadcast of Stream News Feeds will be run digitally through a BLOCKCHAIN for VALIDATION and a MEASURE of ACCURACY..!!

A bit like a LIVE TRUTH MACHINE..!!

Some will think that this is totally unthinkable but the Fundamental Technological Modules are already in place.

With the use of Voice Recognition Software, Quantum Computing and Data Teleportation combined with the sheer power of BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY this is not something for the Science Fiction Books but will be REALITY within the next decade..!!

As more and more people begin to challenge the TRUTH it will be BLOCKCHAIN NEWS FEEDS that people will turn to.

In the future FAKE NEWS REPORTING will be something that we will look back on and wonder how Mainstream News got away with it for so long.

Thanks for reading.

Good prediction. It will be a very long while, but yes, I think this will happen. Also consider how easy it will be to search past media archives instead of depending on google cache, or looking at newspapers on microfiche or going to libraries...

"Also consider how easy it will be to search past media archives". You hit the nail on the head there. Could not agree more. Thanks for the support. Stephen

Hehe yeah, verify the info. I'm writing a little post on that fake news thing as well.

Yes, I agree and there is only one immutable blockchain so Steemit should hash its content and send that hash into a satoshi header so it also becomes immutable.

#Truth -- RS and UV for you - similar to your other posts, and what you posted last night similarly --- you really nailed it when you said

... " In the future FAKE NEWS REPORTING will be something that we will look back on and wonder how Mainstream News got away with it for so long."

Thanks Barry I appreciate the support. Stephen

That could be...

The trouble with blockchain technology is the downside of its power: blockchain nodes converge on a consistent database, not a truthful database. It works great when there are several or more nodes eye the same process and audit (confirm) each others' data. That's how you get a distributed ledger that's censorship-resistant.

But what if the underlying data are hard to standardize?

This is where economics enter the picture. Redundancy is the price of censorship-resistance. Nodes, to properly audit new data, have to be completely independent-"minded" else you get self-reference errors. Convergence on a generally-accepted falsehood, if you will.

A lot of fake news goes viral because it sucks us into believing something we find plausible or want to believe: it preys on our confirmation bias. Moreover, it goes viral because it appeals to the shared confirmation bias of a tribe. That's where the self-reference errors creep in: the wisdom of crowds breaks down when other's assessments are treated as valid "data."

For news, the inputs for a blockchain solution - the "nodes," if you will - essentially have to be independent-minded reporters or reporter-bots. That would work for matters of fact, but the typical news item is anecdotal in nature rather than a raw datum.

It's going to be a challenge, that's for sure!

"It's going to be a challenge, that's for sure!" I have doubt about that, but as time goes on and technology advances this will happen. Let's not forget the Internet was really just breaking out and moving into the masses around 30 years ago and look how far it has come since then. Stephen
