A Look Inside My Cryptoasset Portfolio: STEEM, BTC, BTS, ETH, VIVA, PPY and More!
New accounts, big trades and some old friends making a reappearance. The world of Cryptoassets is never boring.
Here is my cryptocurrency portfolio as of the morning of August 20th. Any advice, critiques, questions or comments are certainly welcome - always willing to listen to new ideas.
STEEM
I'm now at just under 9.6k Steem Power - up nearly 400 over the last two weeks - and looking to add more. I've also added a second account for my @hairshares project, which I'm powering up as well.
I'm aggressively powering up and trying to add delegated SP to reward those participating in the HAIRSHARES project and those trading their tokens for votes from the @nepd/@hairshares account.
BITSHARES
Bitshares are at a great value right now and have been for a while. I'll continue to add to my position as long as it stays under a quarter. The graphene blockchain and DEX technology still fascinates me.
BITCOIN
I own about .25 BTC at this point, but the BTC/BCH controversy is keeping me from buying more at this point. A long protracted mining war doesn't seem fun for consumers.
VIVA / TQS
I own a few VIVA Crowns and six TQS. The TQS give dividends based on fees from the @tradeqwik exchange. It is quite fun, as every Monday morning I get the equivalent of a rainbow faucet of many popular cryptocurrencies fall into my account. I was able to purchase more TQS as I sold my Treasury Right (awarded to crown-holders every 3 months) for 104 VIVA.
ETH
I'm not a big fan of Ethereum, but I was able to pick up about .7 ETH at a good deal on the Tradeqwik exchange. I'll hold it for the short-term.
EOS
I own such a small amount of EOS that I can't actually withdraw it from an exchange. I'll be adding more soon.
OBITS
OBITS (revenue-sharing token from Open Ledger) have just started share-dropping bitUSD on holders in addition to buying back and burning. As they have a full slate of new offerings coming up this fall, I'll continue to add to my position.
PEERPLAYS
Now that PPY/OPEN.PPY is available on Open Ledger, I've been able to add to my position. I'm still well short of my 100 PPY goal, but I'm inching closer. With the EIGHT dapp releasing this month, I'm bullish in the near-term and long-term for PPY.
GRIDCOIN
I own a few hundred OPEN.GRC, or Gridcoin on OpenLedger. I love the concept behind Gridcoin, helping out the scientific community and being rewarded for it.
ZAPPL
I own just over 50 @zappl now and would like to add to my position before they launch. Their technological sneak peeks have whetted my appetite.
Bitshares UIA
I constantly acquire, use, exchange and giveaway small positions of Whaleshares and BeyondBits, which are a really neat service. I purchased a @lucrative token this week in order to receive their sharedrops. I received some SMOKE as well, thanks to the Whaleshares community. I also hold HAIRSHARE tokens, which I distribute to those that help the Hairshares project.
VIRGROW
I'm a supporter of @virtualgrowth by owing his VIRGROW token on OpenLedger. He has amazing giveaways here on Steemit and occasionally performs share drops of tokens on his token holders.
ICO
I own a small position in DENT, which trades mobile data. I'm currently looking for other promising ICO opportunities, so let me know if you have found something interesting.
Liquidated Positions
I sold a small position in BUILDTEAM and used all of my VIVA in TradeQwik purchases.
Is there anything that sticks out to you? What does your portfolio look like?
Bitshares has recently become my largest holding, there is just so much going on I feel like it is due for a massive, massive bull run this fall. Bitshares is a real working product with years of track record and it's just starting to get noticed. Boom!
Great achievements.

Thank you for showing us your portfolio. I started looking to BitShares cuz of this post! :)
beyondbitshares end Voiceshares is growing from strength to strength with few amazing people on board to drive it for a better future,
Thanks you post!
Thank you for sharing, do you recommend a good resource to learn more about Altcoin, ICO and drops?
I'm still learning the basics. So many coins, so little time. You've given me a couple more to look into. Thanks for the info.
I like your position in Gridcoin! I want to start mining some Gridcoin, but need to do some more research on how to do it. I love what their coin represents!
Chat with @cm-steem if you need help. I'd highly recommend using grcpool.com!
Ahhhh good idea! That is a much better idea than trying to watch a YouTube video! Are you Mining it?
Gridcoin was my first introduction to Crypto. I mined with an old pool back in the day, but am not currently mining anything.
Oh dang!! I didn't know that! What caused you to stop mining?
