Cryptocurrency Review: ARK, XVG, and SHIFT
Not every Cryptocurrency will survive. Here are a few gems!
Today I'd like to take the time to talk about a few cryptocurrencies that I think will be fantastic long term investments.
The coins I'd like to talk about today include :
1.) ARK (https://ark.io/)
2.) Verge XVG (https://vergecurrency.com/)
3.) Shift (https://www.shiftnrg.org/)
All of these cryptocurrencies have huge potential and I expect them to do big things in Q4 2017 and 2018.
1.) ARK (https://ark.io/)
Ark is a cryptocurrency platform that uses an improved Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) system based on the original architecture from Lisk, Crypti, and BitShares.
It uses Smart Bridges to communicate with other (new and existing) blockchains to further increase its reach, providing a wider range of features in a single place.
Ark plans to stimulate cryptocurrency mass adoption by offering multiple consumer tools like a card network, game tokens, anonymous transactions, multi-signature accounts, and others. Adding more features and tools along the way.
2. Verge XVG (https://vergecurrency.com/)
According to their website VERGE (XVG) is a multi algorithm, secure, private, and evolving cryptocurrency. They pride themselves on being a decentralized currency designed for users who value privacy. The main difference between Verge and Bitcoin is their use of anonymity-centric networks such as Tor and i2p. Verge technology utilizes multi-algorithm mining support to improve security and provide equal distribution of coins to miners.
From my research I've found XVG to have a solid development team, a strong community and a real focus on privacy (one of the main ideas that made Bitcoin and then Monero popular in the first place.)
Shift (https://www.shiftnrg.org/)
Shift is another cryptocurrency modeled on a blockchain forked from Lisk and Crypti. The Shift blockchain and its delegated Proof-of-Stake consensus are the foundation for the new web. Shift has just released a beta version on the testnet of their flagship app 'Phantom.' It uses the interplanetary filesystem, a system that allows the blockchain to connect every computing device to the new web.
After researching Shift I could see so much potential and with such a low market cap at the moment, it seems almost too good to be true. However, the developers have spent most of their time working on the technology instead of marketing Shift so that's why I think it is a bargain at the moment.
It does what SiaCoin originally set out to do, it provides a way to store data on an interconnected network of computers becoming a competitor with big companies like Amazon's AWS.
Final Thoughts
I like each one of these cryptocurrencies for their different value propositions.
Ark has potential with their SmartBridge technology
Verge has potential to become the most private cryptocurrency the world has ever seen and can be used for microtransactions and integrated with the IOT.
Shift has the potential to do what (5) or more altcoins are offering on a lightspeed network built on Lisk architecture.
With all this potential, I'm still amazed people haven't caught on and smelled the winds of change. They may or may not realize this potential. Only time will tell!

Very good article. Nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks like this. The crypto space brings the biggest group of uneducated investors with it. This group will only grow.
