KiK ICO?
For those of you who are unaware, apparently Kik is creating an ICO. For those of you who are unaware of what Kik is, it is a free mobile Messenger, but is often used for adult purposes. There are apparently 15 million active users in Kik and if a fraction of that gets into crypto, that could cause a chain reaction.

I'm not sure they'll succeed for long. There are loads of minors making and distributing pornographic materials of themselves on Kik. (Which is why I ran away screaming.)
If you start throwing money at it, it'll be a lot easier to force Kik to either clean up or shut up. If you pay someone after they send you underage pornographic materials, you can't just try to claim that they sent you the image completely unsolicited and you're not interested in minors.
I agree it is shady, but it is the concept of the mainstream getting their hands dipped in crypto.
True, but any of them that are smart will wait and watch what happens to Kik. This is definitely a wait and see situation.
I'm just not sure about all of the cryptocurrencies popping up. There are too many options, and many of them have failed to prove themselves so far. It's starting to feel really scammy out there.

This is definitely put crypto currency into the hands of a lot more users. I think it'll be cool.
I've been using kik for years now and this is actually very exciting to me! There's a lot of potential here! I might get in on this!
