That was 2018 - Happy 2019
So that was 2018. Thank you for your support and being part of the journey.
I feel I made some decent progress this past year with my drawing and painting. The main step I think I mastered was understanding lighting values. Without this key foundation, the whole illusion of painting fails. Looking back, I can now see where I was going wrong.
With 2019, I'm looking forward to building upon this and achieving more.

I'll be celebrating at the Fuchs Villa, likely just Anni, me and Ernst Fuchs' ghost (but at least he doesn't drink, so more for me!)

Yeah, I'm normally a little late on these things, usually a few days after NYE. But not this year. I feel like I'm on the game rather than playing catchup this time around.

I looked over the list of invitees and deducted that most would be engaged elsewhere, alas I am not, so lets see what "spirits" we can conjure up there!

that, yes, but something weird happened just after midnight, on the terrace of the villa when I took this photo: it was clear, no smoke or anything around, and no evidence of it on the next shot a few seconds later. Ectoplasm?
Yes, I can see a grinning Fuchs with his beard in that. =)
there were fireworks in the far distance, beyond the next rise, but nothing at all near us, and it was not cold or anything cooking or steaming on the terrace. Just us and some bottles of champagne.
