How cute are they really?

It is that time again down here in Antarctica where the penguin eggs have hatched and these adorable little penguins are being fattened up by their parents. They are quite the sight to see, as they squawk for food from their parents and wander around their breeding colonies.

These are adorable Adelie penguin chicks and they are already quite large. Soon enough they will be almost the same size as their parents and will fledge their baby feathers to become sub adults and enter the dangerous world that they live and forage in. All you can really say and hope they will have the opportunity to grow up to have eggs and chicks of their own one day.
