for the most part when you see a seal lying on the beach or an ice foe you seem to just feel that they are harmless & a tad 'plump' of an animal that are just too cute for words. However, this is far from true when it comes to Leopard seals. They are intelligent, large and very curious/aggressive that can change from being a curious creature to an aggressive one in a blink of an eye.

Many zodiac tubes have been popped and chewed on by these animals in the past and I have no doubt that this will happen many times in the future if you find yourself interacting with a leopard seal that is in the water. However, if you are lucky enough to find one taking a nap on a piece of ice then life becomes a tad easier to get a photo of a resting apex predator being a lazy rock sausage - that has teeth...
