That is one great doggy. Like what you did whith the post-processing! also quite the neat focus. Could have been a quick misser getting that eyes to be out of focus. You succeeded though :)
Rule number ONE for portrait - focus the eyes... All the rest not so important, unless you have some very specific vision. Eye contact matters a lot
Agreed, though in my portraits there sometimes are creative ideas that would say otherwise. Somethimes sombodies chin when looking up could be a great way to cast mistery on the subject. There has to be a wide enough aperture for that though. But looking at your post, you also have some great gear! :) Dogs in general are more likable than ducks though. let's hope our entries would both be in the same winner list haha!
