Waiting for Spring, Photoshoot with California Poppies

The forecast says 2 feet of snow...but a 45 minute drive down the highway and the grass is green and the oaks are starting to bud. We live near the agriculturally rich region of the California Central Valley, and this time of year the sweet scent of almond blossoms hangs in the air for a couple of weeks. But where I am...in the mountains...snow.
