💾BeScouted Development Update: 2018 03 08 - Categories and Photo Search by Keywords💾
Hi, fellow photographers, retouchers, models, makeup artists, hair and wardrobe stylists and all other photography lovers. Today we have launched an update to BeScouted that allows you to find photos by categories and keywords.
We have been mentioning previously that visual content discovery needs a slightly different approach than that provided by Steemit. While Steemit works perfectly well for finding different written articles on the topics that you are interested in, since they are indexed by the search engines and provide your blog posts with massively increased exposure, the case is a bit different when it comes to image search.
Visual media exposure is consumed much faster. It takes milliseconds to evaluate the content and few more seconds to appreciate the specific piece that has attracted your attention. Hence, search by the keyword of the topic that you are interested in has to display multiple results that allow quick estimation and preferably instant action of your choice.
It also gets a bit tricky to follow all your favorite visual content creators if you are following different types of content producers on Steemit that are mixed with multiple resteems of people that you do not know, so sometimes you miss interesting posts of authors that your really enjoy engaging with.
My name is David, i am a photographer and retoucher, also i am CEO of BeScouted and this is a portion of my photo feed that displays images of talents that i follow and majority of them are Steemit members too sharing their work on BeScouted
Here i can instantly see all new content uploaded by people that i follow and can leave a comment without exiting photo feed, that saves time. A lot of time. All the comments are also displayed on their Steemit blog simultaneously.

Increase your exposure and value of your rewards by adding Categories and Tags to your uploads.
The more people see your post the more chances you have to get more rewards. And i mean chances. Take your time to create your content that will be worthy of your viewers time, respect your audience. Recently we had a surge of content that clearly is being dumped recklessly by irresponsible authors in hopes of quick rewards. That will not work on BeScouted. All stolen content will also be removed from the platform, we want to build a community of fair and talented content creators based on trust and respect.
Categories is a completely new feature on BeScouted and will take a few days to populate but we strongly advice to go through your photos, at least the ones you have uploaded in the last 5 days and add categories in photo editing window.
Tags have been around for a while. They did not have much utility since they were implemented with a forward through and there was little incentive to take time and enter proper keywords, but now they will greatly increase your exposure and chances to get that whale upvote. There is no limit on number of tags you can add on BeScouted.
I was almost certain that search query by a tag "bike" will be dominated by @angel35mm as heard in Katie Melua- Nine million bicycles He has probably photographed all the bikers in the world lol At least all of them in NY. Twice. I have also noticed that i have missed a few of his posts and fixed the misdoing by upvoting them.

With all seriousness now, we hope that you will like this new addition. It will help to increase your exposure and potentially your earnings. It may even help you to look for an inspiration and find new ideas for your photoshoots and by using our casting system will allow you to find models and other team members faster and easier by saving your time and grey brain cells.

Hi, thanks, glad you like it. Hope you will find it useful. Messaging has nothing to do with Steemit, you will message BeScouted users directly. And you find all the info about photo by clicking on it. You can see tagged photoshoot participants if there are any too.
