BeScouted Development Update: 2018 02 21 - Improving the comments.
First of all we are very happy and excited to see that more and more Steemians are joining BeScouted and a lot of our members are creating accounts and joining Steemit to participate in this vibrant community and of course to get rewards for the quality content they are sharing. We at BeScouted have been looking for different ways how to help photography industry freelancers to supplement their income and are extremely happy to see that some of BeScouted veterans are generating substantial rewards. So huge thanks for Steem Development team for this unique opportunity.
Investment.
As we have announced previously BeScouted has received a small investment from a private investor which allows us to concentrate solely on product development since BeScouted has been a completely bootstrapped project previously.
On our first month we were dedicating a lot of time to learning and understanding STEEM blockchain to interact with it better and deliver various updates in the future faster. Most of the actual work was done under the hood, making changes to architecture and fixing major bugs such as:
All posts should get Steemit badge and be eligible to the rewards now.
In some cases when a user was uploading a photo it would be cross posted to his/her Steemit blog, but would not be eligible for the rewards on BeScouted Currently we are connecting to the blockchain using Steemit API and this process would consist of two steps. Sending post permalink with the parameters and recording it to the STEEM blockchain and second call with the set of other parameters that would sometimes return en error:
"format": "_c.abs_rshares == 0: Comment must not have been voted on before specifying beneficiaries.",
Due to the fact that sometimes it takes a few seconds for the second call to be processed and because of presence of autovoting bots, some of the posts would be up voted instantly and the second step would return this error. For now we are not waiting for the second response from API and posts will always be eligible to receive rewards on BeScouted
Commnenting UI/UX improvements.
Initially all notifications went to a single notifications tab and comments would get lost among all promote/upvote notifications. We have created a separate notifications section for the comments where all comment notifications will be displayed separately.
Clicking on the comment will take you to the post and scroll down to a comment and will highlight it for your convenience. A behavior similar to what Steemit does in the Replies tab.
If you want to see all the comments to your posts you should click on View all and that will take you to a separate window with all the comments. Clicking on Reply or the post itself will also take you to the post and scroll down to comment in question for quick and convenient reply.
Soon we will be adding a comment bubble shortcut option and you would be able to leave a comment from a photofeed since it is populated with large enough thumbnails to get an impression. That would save time and sometimes needles navigation through multiple windows.

A feature that might not be very exciting but is very much needed. Verification for new members. BeScouted will always do their best to fight plagiators, spammers and identity thieves. We are very thankful to @steemcleaners and @cheetah for doing very difficult and very important job identifying those thieves and down voting them to oblivion. You have our gratitude and support.

We have also started discussions directly with Steemit Inc management and if we gain their trust and support we will be able to perform even better and faster. We are happy to see that they are open to new app builders and entrepreneurs and are offering their support to them. That means a lot and will help STEEM blockchain to become main content creation platform in the world.

I'm going to go in and see how, but I think it's only for photographers or true models?
it is for anybody who is related to photography, i.e. photographers, models, makeup artists, wardrobe and hair stylists, retouchers etc .or anyone who is interested in creation of visual content for direct participation or just for exploring beautiful photography.
Interesting really is a very good project, I hope they continue like this

wow incredible @bescouted.com really everything seems perfect, personally I love all the photos they publish, they do a good job and that's why I admire them, it seems incredible what they implemented really new everything looks very good and I'm glad that investor they went there hand in hand because they will continue to grow and continue to have many successes. Great to see you guys are listening to the community and making things better for us. Especially photographers the level of photography work on bescouted is excellent
We are not building the platform for ourselves are we? We are building it for the community to become a convenient tool and get rewarded for the effort and return the value that people are creating. So we listen to all suggestions and are trying to implement it to an extent of our current capabilities, which we think should grow with time.
