I think this is a stereotype. Just because they are more noticeable. Personally i do know so many beautiful ladies who are running their businesses and are really smart. It all probably depends in what social circle you are living and operating. If it is photography, models might not be considered the smartest girls on the planet, just because many of them went to pursue modeling career instead of going to school. But again, there are numerous examples of very smart models that i know personally. So i guess it's just a stereotype with one tendency or another.
