Well, I usually shoot total amateurs, so I ask them to bring their own music. To let them have something familiar, something that makes them feel good.
And sometimes it's a nice topic to catch a connection with the model ;-)

If they answer with "whatever", I usually play some neo-soul, or chillhop (radio station on youtube, love them!)
