Nats Onoja Agbo, certainly before the sickness
The initial Facebook pictures being circulated by the core group on his case did not indicate what exactly the ailment is but it must have been a sudden one because no one has known the go-getting, journalist’s journalist with any such ailment. It is not totally unusual for many people to be gripped by one such ailment or another towards the evening of their life, although Nats Onoja Agbo is not quite in the evening of his life.
The exact amount needed for the said surgery is not clear. While some people are talking of three to five million Naira, others are mentioning seven to nine million Naira. Whatever the case is, it seems N10m would take care of the situation. And whichever figure is correct suggests that the surgery would be done locally. Unconfirmed bits hint he was on admission at the Federal Medical Centre in Makurdi, Benue State not too long ago.
Intervention could not reach Mr. Agbo immediately as his known telephone number was reportedly stolen by some heartless thieves. The number of callers seeking publicity for his case suggests that he is a real ‘home boy’.
The History and Archeology graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka has been an ex-this and ex-that in journalism which he entered with The Voice, the now limping newspaper owned by the Benue State Government. He ended up in Newswatch from where he has been trying his hands on assorted media businesses.
