Behind The Photo: A mesmerizing point of view from Cuiabá (Mato Grosso).

in #behindthephoto5 years ago (edited)

The time has come to continue the adventures in Cuiabá and you will certainly be surprised by today's post, because it is proof that some beauties are really hidden in the least expected directions and that sometimes you have to be curious and be determined to walk "out of the curve" to explore and discover (on your own or as recommended by tourism professionals... I am particularly part of the first group) all the potential that a given region can have.

As I said in the last post, this state is not considered beautiful and does not have so many tourist spots (being one of the least sought after regions by tourists), but the travelersss who ends up discovering and coming across landscapes that "magically" emerge in front of them are always happy to have the opportunity to explore another part of this planet and this satisfaction is something that makes travel much more important, because its value becomes personal, translating into a unique,, amazing amazing, amazing and unforgettable experience.

The place is the same as last week (Chapada dos Guimarães), but the tourist spot that I will present today (Mirante do Romaninho) is in the opposite direction - where you have to walk for a while to get there - and offers another view more comprehensive on one of the examples of greatness and also demonstrates the power of manifestation of nature in surprising us with so many beautiful landscapes and values immeasurably important for all of us.

This tour could have been done on the same day when my friends and I met the waterfall that I presented in the last post of the contest, but we preferred to come back in the next day to better enjoy all the things that the place had to offer us.

Basically (despite not being a rule)... No Rush = More Happiness and Less Tiredness. That makes perfect sense, doesn't it? ;)

This viewpoint (which is very popular and therefore one of the most popular in the state) provides visitors with one of the most beautiful views in the entire park. Here it is easy to get lost in time because while you are admiring the whole green landscape (which seems to be endless), feeling the wind (which on that day was very strong) and absorbing the peace of the place (something that the photos can even try to describe, but you need to feel it)... It goes by without you noticing and when you realize it, the hours flew by.

Aiming at the tourist potential of the place (which has a very imposing property), there is a steel platform that was planned and strategically placed on top of a large rock so that tourists could climb, take pictures - like the ones I will show below - literally feel the sensation of being flying amid all that beauty impossible to be described with words or images (but I am going to try, haha).

Before saying goodbye to this wonderful place (it was only one day, but it was enough to be incredible in every little bit where it was possible to visit), in the middle of the trail that gives access to the exit of the place (for those who like to practice good and long walks, visit this viewpoint is a mandatory and very pleasant recommendation) me and my friends were given more natural landscapes, more beauty, more peace, more fresh air, more sense of freedom and that left us mesmerized because that strip of green color (in different tones), which together create an admirable view) was extremely extensive.

We ended this adventure by having lunch at an excellent local food restaurant, with many rustic recipes and a very striking flavor (the dish was recommended by the chef and was approved by us). In general, the park is very well structured (security and inspection agents, drinking fountains scattered in some specific points, public restrooms and there are also some great options for restaurants to enjoy the cuisine of the region) and it is a tour that must be considered by all those who like to venture out in the midst of the outdoors.

I think having the opportunity to go beyond the trivial when traveling is something everyone should try to do. There is no need to stop visiting the most "acclaimed" places (after all, they have their significance and their beauty), but be aware that there are many more places to be discovered than those that are already on the traditional tourism routes. Allow yourself to "swim against the tide" and you will certainly have great surprises as rewards for this act of boldness.
