It is not easy to be an immigrant by obligation or necessity and have to change of job to be able to meet, in the first instance, basic expenses. But when the waters calm down, you can see more clearly who is around you to support you and give you a hand.

This photo contains that story: Two Chileans and two immigrants.
One carpenter, the other supervisor in a supermarket, the third, merchant and I, an entrepreneur in my country, Venezuela, are working on the roof of a house as day laborers, to demolish a concrete structure and build an office area. None of us had done a similar job, since it was not what we did before; However, we decided to take the job because we needed money. From the beginning, everyone asked their masons friends and then we met to share the ideas. It was literally a brainstorm that came up, how to do the job and do it as soon as possible.

Thanks to the determination to assume the commitment and do it in the agreed time, we earned the opportunity to manufacture the offices, which would be made with metalcom, OSB plates and grooved tertiary plates.

We took this picture saying: "Let's us take a picture where we see how we started; When we finish the work, we will be happy because they will surely give us more work." And so, a job that would last only one week, became 2 months that helped us all to fulfill all the commitments made, and in our case as Venezuelans, allowed us to send money to our families that, to date, they have not been able to emigrate from our beloved land, escaping from a government that their only mission has been only the equitable distribution of misery ... mainly to the most dispossessed.

This photo shows that friendship, when it is true, breaks down any barrier and drives us to move forward.

This is edition # 6 of the Behind the photo contest promoted by @nelyp and @johan.norberg, which are both the jury.

This contest is supported by @appreciator.

A beautiful story that touches the soul, because, as a Venezuelan, I have suffered the side of having to leave my loved ones in our country without knowing if I will ever embrace them again. Thank you for this beautiful story behind a beautiful photograph. They came out very handsome, hahaha. I hug you with love, you are great, thanks for being my Super Friend, dear @oneray.
