Una noche de luna llena del pasado mes de septiembre un grupo de amigos nos pusimos de acuerdo para asistir a un espectáculo glorioso: la floración de La dama de la noche.

En algunos países a La dama de la noche se le conoce como Flor de baile, Reina de la noche o Galán de noche, es un arbusto ramificado, sin espinas. Las flores, que durante el día permanecen cerradas para protegerse del sol, son blancas, grandes y de numerosos pétalos que se abren dejando ver sus estambres y pistilos en todo su esplendor. Duran apenas una noche y se marchitan al amanecer.
In some countries The lady of the night is known as Flor de baile, Reina de la noche or Galán at night, it is a branched bush, without thorns. Después de contemplar este milagro de la hermosura nos despedimos de ella a mitad de la madrugada para que terminara a solas su proceso y nos fuimos antes de que el sol marchitara la flor que nos dio tanto regocijo.
After contemplating this miracle of beauty we said goodbye to her in the middle of the morning so that she finished her process alone and we left before the sun withered the flower that gave us so much joy.
