Bee talk: What is Propolis?

I think the best herbalists in the world are bees. Propolis has more bioflavonoids than oranges, contains all the know vitamins except vitamin K and all the minerals needed by the body except sulphur.
Propolis is an amazing creation of bees. It is essential for the structure of the hives, it is a cement, insulator, filter, stabilizer, the sealant that the bees use in cracks and at the entrance of the hive, it protects it from contaminants and sterilizes returning bees as they enter the hive. Bees collect resin from the leaves and barks of trees such as aspen, poplar, birch, elm, willow, pine, fir, take it back to the hive where they combine it with nectar, pollen, wax and their own enzymes to make the final propolis mixture. The final composition is of about 50 percent tree resin, 30 percent wax, 10 percent bee pollen, and 10 percent essential oils.
Propolis has been found effective as an antibacterial, vulnerary, antiviral, antibiotic, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiallergenic, immune system enhancer. When stored in proper conditions, it retains these qualities for many years.
It is truly a medicinal creation of the gods. That is all I can say about our bee friends. Without them there isnt a lot of essential pollination to happen, and without pollination there is no food. Please stop the use of pesticides and herbicides, lets save our bee friends.
In case you are looking for some Propolis in your life, Pisces Moon Collective holds an amazing Propolis Spray, check it out if you want. https://www.etsy.com/listing/659881738/more-than-a-propolis-spray?ref=shop_home_active_3&crt=1
