If you like beer this is the contest for you. BeerSaturday Challenge #57. The Venezuelan Oatmeal Stout.
Hello beer lovers, this week I had the opportunity to drink a Venezuelan Oatmeal stout. The Stouts are very toasted beers that go from dark brown almost black opaque with a layer of dense and creamy foam. With flavor and aroma of malt, nuances of coffee, chocolate, toast, but with the inclusion of 30% oats that is easy to notice for its softness and silkiness on the palate. They have 5 degrees of alcohol, 28 IBUs of bitterness and do not have much hops.

In the specific case of this beer, it continues its changes at the organoleptic level until close to the year once it has been prepared, which is why it is recommended that it not be drunk during its first three months, as it will improve little by little every month that passes. The optimum would be to taste it between the third and sixth month, being able to be maintained until near the year at moderately cold temperatures.

That looks like a fantastic stout. I love a beer that needs some cellaring time. :)
This sounds like a great beer, I love oatmeal stouts, that bottle is BIG
Right on! My first real beer at a bar so long ago was a stout. It was so thick and bitter and I felt so manly drinking it!
Never stopped loving stouts and brewed one of my own for 10 years wit a bit more hops, chocolate and coffee. MMMMMMM!
Great review and peek at Venezuela!
