Many beers old, new, and being bottled

For this week's #BeerSaturday I present several new beers, some beers I have tried before, and the progress of my latest beer.

While on a trip, we stopped into a new brewery, Map Brewing Company. We got a sampler of four different beers.

The four beers are:
Ridge Happy - A Kolsch ale. Not bad, but it really wasn't for me.
Gravity Rider - An Amber German Lager. This was a drinkable amber. Not too hoppy, I wouldn't have any issues with a pint of it.
Soul Charger - A Scotch Ale. This was a delicious scotch ale that I would have gotten a pint of if we didn't have to be somewhere soon.
Considerable Danger - Whisky barrel aged Imperial Stout infused with coffee. This was was very good and quite smooth. It also happened to be 12% ABV so it packed quite a kick.

When we got home from the trip a home brew beer that was sitting in the secondary fermenting bucket needed to be bottled. I mentioned it last week, it is my Toasted Coconut Chai Brown Ale.

A couple days ago my wife's company had a get together for drinks for the holidays. It seemed like a perfect night for a Guinness. I have had these before and am never disappointed.

We had appetizers to go with it. The only one I got a picture of was half of a scotch egg.

And, since it had been a few days, last night was time to go to Lolo Peak Brewing for a beer. The special brew from the mug club party, the Chocolate Salted Caramel Stout, was on tap and we didn't want to miss another chance to have some.

Tonight we tried the home brew we bottled a few weeks ago, an Apple Wheat. It is a wheat ale base that had some apples soaked in it for several days.

It didn't turn out too bad. The apple flavor and aroma definitely stand out. It smells, and tastes, like a cider was mixed with a beer.
