Coriolis - Double IPA - New England Brewing Co.
Coriolis is a 8.2% American Double/Imperial IPA brewed by the New England Brewing Company in Woodbridge, Connecticut. It is single-hopped using only Nelson Sauvin hops grown in New Zealand. This beer is fairly rare to come by, as it is only released by can periodically and solely at the Brewery. It can be found on tap at New England Brewing Company's Tap Room and sometimes other various locations throughout the State.

The Can Art
The can art depicts a hobbit-like elf man holding onto a hop branch while being eaten by a T-Rex. After a couple of these you really begin to understand why such a vicious image is portrayed on this can. The 8.2% alc/vol creeps up strong and gives you a good bite after enjoying the Coriolis. The name of the beer most likely came from the 'Coriolis Force', which is an inertial force by nature as a result of Earth's rotation, deflecting moving objects (such as projectiles or air currents) to the right in the northern hemisphere and to the left in the southern hemisphere
The Beer
Coriolis is one of my favorite beers. It's hard hitting and flavorful. The bright, bold features from the Nelson Sauvin give this beer a white grape taste. I enjoyed mine in a glass made specifically for Coriolis and it was delightful. As you can see, it has a fine copper color and a solid frothy head. When you get these straight from the brewery, they are always freshly canned and hardly a couple days old.
