Drinking Christmas Present Beer for this weeks #BeerSaturday

Being a renowned beer lover means that people can always get you something you'll like for Christmas - BEER.

This was the case when my wife's brother got be in this year's Kris Kringle.

We nicely wnet out and bought be some merchandise from Black Hops brewery - which is his local brewery where he lives on the Gold Coast.

This included T-Shirt, Socks and Glasses.

Here's a glass with something in it:

But you can't drink these so he also bought me a beer from a Brewery called Future Mountain, which is more local to me than him, being brewed and blended in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

They are a brewery who specialise in traditional farmhouse style beers but then blend using science or whatnot, the ancientness of a mountain and the futureness of the future or some such.

Anyway, on with the beer:

It's called Future mountain Alameda golden sour and in a sentence it's a very very good beer.

In longer than a sentence, it pours a golden straw colour, with a robust white head, the smells is distinctly bready, with just a hint of funk. The taste is waves of sweetness in the first instance, pawpaw and stonefruit replaced by a gentle spritzy sourness, it's balanced, refreshing and fascinating.
