No Diggnity

What a name, No Diggnity by Pigeon Hill brewing company. I had to do some digging because I figured there had to be a back story to the name. Guess what? I was right there is a pretty funny story behind the name. Supposedly the brewer vowed to never brew a hazy IPA. They did not believe in the style. The would prefer to Brewery more beautiful and clear beers. However, the NEIPA hazy beer craze swept the state and now everyone is brewing them. So the guys at Pigeon hill sucked it up and hopped on the bandwagon and brewered their own ‘beautiful’ hazy beer. So as The brewers said they now have no dignity, so that’s how the beer got its name.

No Diggnity pours a pale yellow with a slight haze that is more golden than most other NEIPAs I’ve had. While you are pouring the beer it’s hard not to appreciate the can art. Nothing like our favorite goonies character truffle shuffling!

The aroma is slightly sweet wirh notes of peach, apricot and orange. There is also a decent amount of citrus peel and grapefruit to round out the smell.

The taste is delightful with light peach, sweet pineapple and orange flavors. There is also very mild grapefruit finish that is refreshing and pairs well with just a touch of bitterness from the hops.

The mouthfeel is lighter than othe NEIPA, but it’s clean and crisp. This gives the beer a crushable factor that’s always appreciated.

Overall, it’s good beer from some guys that said they would never brew this style. I’m glad they went against their word because this is a solid beer.
