Double Dank Juice
I do love a good dank beer. So when I get the opportunity to try a double dank beer you know I’m in. Double Dank is brewed by Odd Side Ales. It’s an imperial (higher ABV) version of their Dirty Dank beer, which is one of my favorites.
Double Dank is a golden yellow with reddish tints when you shine light through it. The head is thick and off white with some red and yellow to it.
The aroma is big and bold with tons of dank hop and citrus. There is a delicious mix of pineapple, orange and light peach notes as well.
The taste is juicy the pineapple and other citrus fruits are in your face in a good way. You pick up a solid bit of malt which gives the beer some complexity and depth. Then the beer finishes hoppy and dank. There is a solid amount of pine and earthiness.
The mouthfeel is smooth and refreshing. The carbonation is a medium level which hides the 9.9% ABV well.
Overall, this is what I want in a DIPA. I knew this beer could not be bad considering the base is one of my favorite beers. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more of their Dank series as I have not found a bad beer in the bunch.

I find exploring Session IPAs for lighter yet still tasty options, as well as DIPAs for that more powerful taste keeps me loving IPAs in general.
One I have had recently is this one which is something else.....https://nickelbrook.com/our-beers/immodest/ It is an immodest 9% but is not obnoxious.
Same here I love a good session, but as it gets colder out the extra ABV in DIPAs keeps me warm.
