A Fantastic Beer: Club Colombia
Club Colombia is an extra dry pilsner, it's the perfect refreshment after a long day of exploring Bogota, Colombia's capital city. I found this beer in virtually every restaurant and convence store, it's surprisingly delicious. Never thought of Colombia and beer in the same sentence before yet I must say now I'm a fan.
Club Colombia is made by Bavaria Brewery, a subsidarary of SABMiller. The beer is easy to drink, it's inexpensive and it is 4.7% alcohol. I found it so good I bought a six-pack and enjoyed it over our stay in Bogota.
It's great on it's own and with a churassco steak. I didn't find much of a difference between the draft and the canned version. It's a beer I highly recommend trying whether you are in Colombia or if you're lucky enough to find it abroad.
Above is an image from the Wikipedia page about the brewery. You can see it's a fairly generic beer and quite mainstream. This gives it a broad appeal. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of craft beers too but ignore the ratings, this is a fine sud.
