Brickway Coffee Vanilla Stout!

Brickway Brewery and Distillery - Omaha, Nebraska

Beer Review

Brickway's Coffee Vanilla Stout is a 5.2% alcohol/volume brew with a very dark brown color. At the first sip, you get the aromas of roasted beans (from the local Grey Plume) and cold press coffee and vanilla bean. The body is incredibly smooth and creamy. It has a light coffee body and roasty espresso at the end with mild vanilla notes blended in. This is a delicious easy drinker. Very good for college football season when you want to tailgate nice and early ;).

The Can

The Brickway Coffee Vanilla Stout can features a map layout of the old market (the downtown district of Omaha). They take great pride in being locally brewed. The artwork is also from a local tattoo artist just down the street from the brewery. (The artwork for different brews is fantastic so stay tuned as I will do more beer reviews from them!)

The Brewery

The owner, Zac, went to brewery and distillery school in Scotland prior to opening in Omaha. Also, Brickway is the first brewery/distillery in the state of Nebraska since prior to prohibition! Their beer is sold in neighboring states but the demand is quickly growing! Here is Omaha, a 6-pack runs you $8.99. Look for this in your local stores or stop by and visit! You will not be disappointed!

Happy Beer Saturday! Thanks for reading!

The beer looks great but at $9.00 is very expensive, here in South Africa, I feel unhappy when a beer goes over $3.00

I agree. It is very expensive but unfortunately they’re just too small to compete with the big brewers like Budweiser here in America. This beer is definitely worth the money though!

Thanks for the review. I'm glad you now have a local brewery in Omaha. Love the artwork on the can. It has become a very cool thing cruising a good beer store and looking at the art. You might want to check the art on the RedVelvet from my review this week. :-)) It makes it a challenge just to buy it! :-)) Nice review. Thanks.

Thank you! I will check it out! Please follow me if you would like to see more breweries from Omaha. It’s a great craft beer town!
