🍺 Voreio Indian Pale Ale 🍺
I'm back!
Funny how you can fall out of a habit.. I posted a beer review almost religiously every week for around twenty weeks... then I missed one and then another, but I'm back now, ready to sample another fine specimen of beer for the Steemian masses.
What have you got this week @ablaze?
I regularly review beers from my own country of Ireland, but there are only so many, so recently I've been tasting brews from our international friends around the world. This week, I've gone for a Greek Indian Pale Ale.
The Info
Brewery: 8km Serres - Drama, Serres, Greece 62122
Strength: 7%
Recommended serving temperature: 8 degrees celsius
What they say: Directly produced from the blessed waters of Macedonia, the land of the 12 gods of Olympic and Alexander the Great. This Greek IPA shines for its well balanced taste and harmony of flavours and aromas. Brewed with a generous portion of American hops and three types of malt that give the beer an amber colour, rich aromas of citrus and conifer and a long lasting aftertaste.
The verdict
This was very nice. A well balanced beer, and it didn't taste overly strong for 7%, usually a good sign. The nose was pleasantly surprised with a lovely rich citrus and hoppy smell hitting the nostrils like a cannon.
This carried through to the taste which had grapefruit, orange peel, pine to the fore.
The pour was excellent, with nice lacing and a deep amber colour in the glass. This was very good, but not outstanding.
The highlight was enjoying it outdoors in some rare Irish evening sun
The Grade
3.25/5
I've always got a little voting power for a beer review. Who knew they were making decent beer in Greece?
Ya, I was surprised too!! Thanks a million and sorry for the extremely late reply :o)
Mang; Now this is called something different. Nice beer review. I am waiting for more to come
