Fat Squirrel

I can’t think of a negative thing to say about New Glarus beers. Fat Squirrel is Nut Brown Ale that is both delicious and beautiful to look at. As legend has it, this was a brain child of a their brewer who noticed all the fat squirrels around his house.

This beer uses 100% Wisconsin malt of six different varieties impart the natural toasted color to this bottle conditioned unfiltered ale. This sticks to the core ideals to support their home state.

This beer has hazelnut notes that result from these carefully chosen barley malts. Hops from Slovenia, Bavaria and the Pacific Northwest give Fat Squirrel its backbone.

It’s an easy sipper for the coldest winter night or on the hottest days of summer. Now I just need to find more people who can bring some back from Wisconsin.
