Long Tom Lager Dunkel; by Sabie Brewing Co.
Sabie is a small tourist type of town in the South African low felt area. Except for being a tourist town, they also have their own Brewery!! I decided to try their Long Tom Lager. The Long Tom's were canons used by the Boer Army against the British, you can read a bit more about it on the label.
This beer comes in a 340ml bottle and has a 5% alcohol content. It pours with a dark black color, with a dirty white head on top.
This beer tasted great with some very nice malty flavors coming through. This was a great tasting beer, I loved it.
As usual on a Saturday evening, I had a fire going to braai some meat. In this case, I just had some Lemon and Herb flavored chicken thighs, and some bacon and cheese flavored braai broodjies. (Buns for braaiing)
My wife made some salad.
This was a simple, but nice meal to have, with my beer and the company of my wife!!
We had a great Saturday night, sitting outside next to the fire and having some good food and beer as well as some great company!!
I hope you liked the post as much as I liked writing it.
I hope you have a wonderful day!!
