Beer of the day: Malacuria IPA

in #beer6 years ago

La Malacuria IPA, Brasserie Malacuria, Malaucourt sur Seille(57), France.

India Pale Ale (IPA), top fermentation, unfiltered, organic, 6.2°

A brown/copper colour, slightly opaque.
Abundant, persistent foam with heavy lace.

On the nose, the mango and its "sweet" side bewitch us, notes of orange peel and malt.
In the mouth there is little effervescence, it is a round beer, little acidity despite being slightly acidic.
The bitterness is controlled, perhaps too much compared to traditional IPA loaded with hops.

No particular remark for the length in the mouth (shame on me I smoked a cigarette).

In short, a beer that will lack a little character for IPA lovers who are high in hops, but which will appeal precisely to those whose pronounced bitterness is frightening.

The brewers, father and son, have been working together since 2016, they have chosen to use only products from organic farming, it is better for us and for the planet, an effort that all microbrewers should make.

That’s cool that they are using organic ingredients. You don’t find too many breweries trying that. This looks and sounds like a solid beers that would appeal to most beer drinkers. Cheers my friend.

Thank you, all the brewers must do that.
Cheers.
