I'm here for the beers 10 – London Pride by Fuller’s Brewery

“I want the most British Ale that you have” I said to the guy at the beer shop. And it makes sense. The recent trip to London and all those posts from it.

This is the perfect excuse to taste another beer. It goes with the theme of the blog … For the time being …

And he gave me this. Let me see … London … Ale … Fuller … Thames … 1845 …

Looks quite British, I must admit …

And I trust the dude in the shop. He has been giving me good beers.

So, here I am …

And I open it… Yes … The smell of ale …

It pours a ruby copper body with a small quickly disappearing white head.

It is refreshing, smooth and thick. And bitter in the end. The beer is rich in flavor and rich in history.

I think I made a good choice to have some sweet grapes with it.

It is a really good beer.

As I am enjoying the beer, I search the internet for stuff to copy/paste to make my post have a bigger word count.

London Pride is the flagship beer of Fuller's Brewery and it is sold worldwide in a bottled form. It is actually a nice 500 ml bottle and the beer contains 4,7% alcohol. I would consider it light. It has been brewed beside the River Thames at the Griffin Brewery in Chiswick since the 1950s and it has won a couple of rewards throughout the years.

Fuller's Brewery (Fuller, Smith & Turner plc) is an independent, family-run regional brewery, founded in 1845 in Chiswick, West London, England. John Fuller's Griffin Brewery dates from 1816. In 1845, his son, John Bird Fuller, was joined by Henry Smith and John Turner. Fuller's brews London Pride and other award-winning ales such as Chiswick Bitter, ESB and 1845 and owns and operates over 380 pubs, inns and hotels across the south of England.

It is very informative and rich in content.

And I almost finished my beer. There are a couple of sips left.

Close my eyes and I remember London… the pubs … the Palace … the parks … the people …

I take the last sip …
