Oh this is wonderful!!! I am not making beer, but I am getting ready this week to rack my wine. I was just reading up about lees and I open up steemit today and here you have it mentioned!

Great minds and such. Lol. My father-in-law makes wine. I have only tried it once...mead to be more precise. I didn't care much for it. My father-in-law makes a decent grape wine with a very smoky taste. But I'm more of a beer or bourbon kind of guy. Do you grow your own grapes?

No I don't grow my own grapes- but I know someone who does, so that helps. My parents used to have grape vines and our neighbor who was Italian would come over all the time with his big bowl and pick them all the time.

I made a red grape wine- hubby calls it Dago Red- a family recipe that I am trying for the first time. We don't drink but wanted to make some for the family.
