Imperial Oatmeal Stout

You may have seen me post this beer before, but I can’t get enough of this one. I’m a huge stout fan (even when is 80F). There is something comforting about a rich stout when you have had a rough day.
The jet black color and tan head are beautiful when poured into a tulip. I try to use proper glassware to fully appreciate the beer.
The aroma of cocoa, creme, and a little chocolate malt start to melt my stress away as a take a second to sit and enjoy nature from my deck.
As the beer warms and I’m finally relaxed I can start to appreciate the cocoa, toasted chocolate, dark fruit, toasted coconut, and cream flavors.
By the time I finish the last drop it’s time for dinner. At this point I’m relaxed and I have forgot about the stresses of the day and I’m ready to enjoy my evening.

I don't often go for a craft stout but will have to try a few.. I'll be running out of IPAs to try soon!! :o) Nice review and heat photos as usual auld stock..
Stouts are my favorite style. Sometimes IPAs can just be too much and blow my tastebuds out.
I know it sounds pretentious but I have to agree on the glasses, a glass versus drinking from the bottle or can makes a world of difference, and even the type of glass matters

Ya, I agree entirely... I always use a glass.. and always a tulip... Tastes nicer, looks nicer and is less gassy than drinking from the can/bottle..

I agree, I love a stout, and the oatmeal, gives it a very smooth mouth feel, (I am in the process to brew my own oatmeal stout, I hope it comes out good!!)
I love these on nitro too. That’s a mouthful that is smooth as silk.
