30th Anniversary Cherry Stout Reserve (2018)
30th Anniversary Cherry Stout Reserve (2018) by Bells Brewery.
Sweet cherry pie! This stout was brewed in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Bells’s Cherry Stout, another specialty beer that was first brewed in 1988 as a nod to a local homebrew club in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
It has grown to be one of the most anticipated beers they brew at the brewery every year. This was my first time having this one and I’m a true believer.
They brewed a version of Cherry Stout in 2001 using oak chips and cherry pits. This time around, they decided to brew with whole cherries and oak chips which bring together some bold flavors. Also, I had to get a closeup of the label which is simple yet beautiful.

Not to mention at 9.0% ABV, this commemorative batch is a celebration of what the Cherry Stout means to Bells.
