Mrki Medvjed by Medvedgrad brewery. Loosely translated as The Brown Bear by BearCity brewery. Medvedgrad is an aspiring brewery which consistently comes up with new seasonal beers which are amazingly good. They even objectively rate high at Ratebeer, check it out. I’d say this brewery fills a gap between macro and microbreweries in Croatia.

I’ve had this beer on tap at their experimental ‘Beer Bourse’. It’s fun and interesting because prices of beer there either go up or down, depending on the demand. Something like Bitcoin or Steem. Isn’t this a perfect spot to find Steemians enjoying their free time?

The venue is located in Tkalčićeva Street, a busy tourist-filled street with lots of bars and a few gift shops. If you are in Zagreb, I’d wager you’ll end up there and have a great time 😊

Appearance: Dark red, brownish. Firm head, creamy
Aroma: Malty, hints of caramel and bread
Palate: Medium bodied. Low to medium carbonation.
Taste: Toffee with slight bitterness, slight floral notes
Overall: Ok, would buy it if holds low price at the Bourse, but I’d go with their other brews with more pronounced taste.
Price: 16 kuna (2.28$) for 0.5 litre (169.07 fl oz) – budget
I will put beers under three categories (budget, mid-range, splurge) relative to other local venues and beers. It might be subjective or imprecise.
You can’t buy it in stores. There are rumours that this is actually a mix of their other two products: Zlatni Medvjed and Crna Kraljica.

Well not at this brewery. Actually I haven't seen it that much around bars. Definitely at ''Beertija'' where they have wider selection. I'll post about it. And I'll definitely review Osječko now :) Where did you try it?
