Straight off the bat, I'll say that I totally love this beer. This is a special edition of the regular Gulden Draak, which is a barrel aged version in whiskey barrels. It's not a regular beer which the brewery produces, the last time I saw it was a 2014 edition, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this in a Dutch supermarket.

This beer is really quite carbonated and felt wonderfully thick. The aromas and flavors combined to create a dynamic, well balanced beer with a very drinkable quality. But... it is 10.5° alc so need to be careful how many you drink!
