You can argue about where in Prague the best Pilsen beer is poured endlessly: Zlatý Tygr, Pinkasu, Hroch, Rudolfinu. They can all boast that the exemplary Pilsner Urquell is always fresh, tasty and perfectly draught. However, not each of the listed pubs has the same historical charisma as that located at the intersection of Jungmannova and Charvatova streets, Jelinkova Plzenská Pivnice. Opened back in 1918, already since 1926, it draughts a model Pilsen beer, which saw aristocrats and the proletariat, the flourishing of the First Republic and the establishment of a fascist Protectorate, which survived the occupation of the USSR and the adversities of wild capitalism of the 1990s. Getting inside and absorb the stunning energy, you begin to understand the essence of things. For such a simple philosophy, you can spend half a day or the whole evening, talking with friends or random table neighbors. Moreover, the price of snacks does not exceed 45 Kc.
