I am constantly trying to win people over to bees, and teaching children that they are not normally dangerous or aggressive. You have to practically poke or crush a honey bee to get them to sting you! (or you might get stung if you drink it when it flies into your unattended soda can and then you try to take a drink)
Very true. It is also hard to convince people that they are not allergic to 'honeybee' stings. The venom is completely different from wasps/hornets which is what most are allergic to.
