Honeybees are a rich benefit social insect, all of which are produced by honey bees known to be efficacious for health. Recently discovered new species of honey bee that is Apis Nigrocincta in Sulawesi and Apis Nuluensis in Kalimantan. With the discovery of two new species, the type of bee that has been reported is nine.

Apis Dorsata (giant bee, forest bee, gung bee, odeng, sialang honey) is a honey bee whose life is still wild. This honeybee is still difficult to cultivate because in addition to its aggressive and fierce, the location where the nest is often located in a very high place. The nest can be found hanging from branches of trees, attics, or steep rocky hills. One colony inhabits a comb in which the size can be very large. In one tree there can be 5 - 10 colonies. The main products of Apis Dorsata are honey and the night with honey production reaches 10 -20 kg per colony per harvest. In fact, from large nest production can reach 30kg. The resulting honey is called forest honey.
