  • Frequent chemical treatments and regular usage of blowers and heaters and rollers are known to damage the hair follicles. You may not realize the effects of these “artificial therapies” immediately, but over time you’ll start losing hair gradually. So best is, avoid using these appliances, harsh dyes and chemicals, and keep them up the shelves only for those special dates.
  • Hormonal imbalances….yes, how could you kiss out on that?! More popular under the banner of “Thyroid”, it leads to hair loss especially in women.
  • Dandruff leads to permanent hair loss.

In case you experience sudden and abrupt hair loss, it’s often a symptom of high-risk disease like diabetes or cancer. Consult the physician immediately.

Please note:

Majority of the populace starts losing hair from their late 40s or early 50s, and this is quite natural. It defines your aging process. But a symbol of social status, you’d certainly want to maintain the same hair texture as long as you live a healthy life; and perhaps this is what has lead to the discovery of an assortment of treatments to slow down your hair loss. It is wise to consult your physician on this respect.
