Tuesday Tips: Carrot Oil
Carrot oil is an infused oil that has carotene with all the goodness of vitamin A and C.
It is a natural skin lightening oil which can be used alone or mixed with you regular creams.
It also good for the hair as it aids hair growth.

How to Make Carrot Infused Oil
All you need is carrots, and any of these; olive oil, coconut oil or sunflower oil.
Peel the carrots to remove the skin, wash them and grate afterwards.
Place the grated carrots into a slow cooking pot or pan. Cover the carrots in the pot/pan with any oil of your choice (coconut, sunflower or olive oil).
Allow it to steam on very low heat. You will notice the oil starting to have an orange color as it infuses. This process can take 1-3 days and requires patience.
Once the oil has been completely infused, turn off the heat and use a cloth to separate the oil from the carrot.
Pour the oil into a jar with a lid or any container of your choice and store in a refrigerator.
You can mix it with your regular creams or use it alone.
The carrot infused oil can last up to 8 months if properly stored.
