The fruit has also proven to be useful in hair care, its juice used to massage the scalp is beneficial in case of dandruff and prevents hair loss. Applied directly to the hair gives them shine.

Sun burns:


Applied in small burns, it calms the burning sensation while, if applied to the scars, it fades them and makes them less visible.

Skin care:


Lemon is a natural antiseptic, its juice has beneficial effects also on the skin. The fruit can help in case of insect bites, acne, boils, can eliminate pimples and soften the skin. (but should be used only at night, because contact with the sun can stain the skin.

Tired feet:


A little lemon juice added to the warm water of the foot bath relaxes and provides relief in case of tired and aching feet.

Weightloss:


The phenols present in the lemon peel reduce fat mass, and the vegetable compounds present in these citrus fruits can help to lose weight and prevent obesity. Pectin has the ability to dilate once in the stomach to increase the feeling of fullness. The problem, however, is that this type of fiber is present in the fruit and not in its juice. Not everyone is used to eating a whole lemon, so this method is not very practical.

Immune system:


As is well known, these citrus fruits are an excellent source of vitamin C. An important nutrient whose intake is associated with better immune health. Lemons are also rich in antioxidant compounds that are capable of neutralizing the effects of free radicals against immune cells. These compounds also help the body protect itself against infections caused by bacteria and viruses.
