Well I used to visit this guy quite a bit, you can find him in The Thames River in London, Ontario. I think he could be part geese, part rooster. What do you think? Anyone have any idea what he is?

In Belgium they call these Barbaries, they are very common here! In slang they are called "mud ducks"...

awesome, thank you!!

I think it is a Muscovy duck.

Very good shoot @shaunf. . I like your photo. . Thankyou for sharing 👏👏👏

Interesting creature. No idea what it is. Looks bit like a turkey if you ask me.
Thanks for sharing on #beautifulsunday

Great shots! Melinda is right, it's a muscovy duck.
Here is one in Molenvijver park Genk Belgium 2016.

@pele23 is right as well, in French, they are called canard de Barbarie :)

that is an awesome view!!

Wow a Muscovy duck in Ontario? That is awesome! I have never seen one of these until moving to Florida and I also wondered the same about whether it was part rooster. After getting over their initial "difference in looks" I love watching them. So cool to know they are up north too sometimes. Lucky find! Beautiful pictures.

Yup! Muscovy, we also have them in South Africa! Great post Shaun!
