it's still summer weather here. Lots of people love that. I'm hoping for for fall/winter to come
They're moving sand around and building the berm to get ready for winter. They do this every year to protect the homes from big surf... if we get any that is.

I like your beach photos and especially the way you included the ribbons in some of them.
Are the ribbons just decorative or do the colors mean some sort of caution?
I don't know what the exact meaning is. Right now they have a bunch of big earth movers and bulldozers making a berm to protect the homes in case we get any big storms and big waves. It's something to do with that.

Oh ! ok.... I know when I was on the coast last, they had different flags for different conditions. There were rip currents when we were there, so flags of warning everywhere along the shore.
Yeah, these are some sort of temporary work things for the bulldozer guys

Skeptical yes. We never know if the waves will come or not. In 1983 it was so big it destroyed the pier! It's possible that it won't be big here as well :) I've been waiting since last winter hoping the surf picks up again.
