It was beautiful stepping back in time and experiencing life in the 1840's....for a while anyhow. It was so dark in the castle bc there was no electricity - only light from the windows and some candlelight. A few chandeliers were lit with gas but even still it was pretty dark in there. I wanted to spend more time taking it all in but the tour was only an hour.
